Clean/unblock, CCTV Camera, Water Jet, Electronically Locate and provide USB
- CCTV Camera is used first to televise your pipes/drain to determine problem areas. Tree Roots are located and their positions marked for accuracy.
- Measurements of these Tree Roots and problem areas are transposed onto the drain cleaning equipment.
- All Technicians carry both High-Pressure Water Jets and Electric Eels with the Water Jet the preferred method.
- The pipes are cleaned and Tree Roots removed at the same time.
- The camera is then placed back into the drain to check our work to ensure the drain will not block again in this area for the longest time possible.
NB* The problem with cleaning your drain without a CCTV Camera is that it is most likely you are not removing all the tree roots properly, therefore dramatically decreasing the period of time before it blocks again.
- At the same time, we electronically locate the pipes and mark where it runs and how deep it is then we give you a Free CCTV footage of the drain with a Quote to repair.
Armed with the Quote and the DVD you are now able to get as many alternative quotes as you feel necessary or even be able to fix it yourself. We cannot be more upfront and honest than that.

Rough guide to the costs to Line your pipes
The minimum cost to line a pipe is usually $1,850.00 + GST. Most domestic properties we do average out at approximately $2,000.00 + GST to $4,000.00 + GST.
If we are there for a week (this is a major job with a very high degree of difficulty) and the cost will be in the vicinity of $15,000.00 + GST. (Home Warranty Insurance is provided to cover the Owner for all works over $20K)
Once the pipe is cleaned and televised, you will receive a firm quote.
This is possible, but not recommended – here’s why:
Firstly, if you have just had your drains cleaned (properly) then in the case of a domestic property you are almost assured of having the drain televised, located and DVD made in the first hour at a cost of $350+gst. If you wait for the roots to grow back to an extent that they fully block the pipes, then the cost will be increased.
Secondly, we know that unless the drain is repaired then it is almost a certainty that you will have a sewer overflow or blockage situation in the near future. We would be happy to schedule your job but there is no guarantee that we will have a technician available in your area on the day it overflows and there is a good possibility that this overflow will happen on a weekend during a social event e.g., kid’s party, BBQ, Christmas or Easter etc.
There is a reason for this. The drain is often blocked long before an over flow occurs, but it seeps away into the ground during low flow periods, such as night time when you’re sleeping or day time when you’re all at work and school. Then when there is high flow periods such as the examples given above (at the worst possible time), the overflow will occur which will increase the cost to clean up and cause unnecessary embarrassment.
Thirdly and most importantly, there is only a short window of opportunity to line the pipe before it deteriorates to an extent that it cannot be lined leaving only total excavation. The picture below is typical of a joint that is border line. If it moves more that this then you have no choice but to excavate. This pipe would have been approximately $2K + GST to fix if it is located under stairs or a bathroom. The alternative cost could be in the vicinity of $10K to $15K + GST.
Firstly let us talk about the alternative to lining which is to excavate and replace the old pipe with brand new PVC pipe (installed hopefully to Australian Standards). This can be done by any Licensed Plumber and by Law their work is to be guaranteed for 2 years.
